Disgaea Mayhem is an action RPG for Nintendo Switch that gives the long-running Disgaea series a different gameplay style. Instead of traditional grid-based tactical battles, players directly control N.A., a mercenary hired to fight monsters and recover the princess’s precious pudding.

Story

The story follows N.A., a mercenary with a particular taste for sweets. The princess’s pudding, known as the Pristine Gleam Flan, has been taken after her royal subjects rebelled and ate it. N.A. is hired to recover what remains and return it to the princess.

What begins as a simple mission develops into an adventure through the Netherworld, where N.A. battles monsters, recruits demons, and becomes involved with the strange events surrounding the missing pudding.

Gameplay

Disgaea Mayhem focuses on direct action combat. Players can choose between seven weapon classes, including close-range and ranged options, and switch weapons to change their approach during battles. Enemies can be defeated directly while the player continues developing N.A.’s abilities and equipment.

Progression remains an important part of the experience. Players can grind levels, improve equipment, recruit demons, and use the Dark Chocolate Assembly to pass bills and influence progression. The Nintendo Switch version supports one player. The latest listed update is Ver. 1.1.2.
