SHINOBI: Art of Vengeance Switch NSP
Game Information:
SHINOBI: Art of Vengeance Switch NSP was born from Sega’s attempt to revive some of its stagnant game series. The Shinobi series began as an action-platform fighting game for consoles in 1987.
Let’s start with the story and the basic premise: The main character, Joe Musashi, seeks revenge against an organization called “No Corporation” after finding his village destroyed by them and his followers turned to stone. Joe sets out to avenge himself against them and their leader, Lord Russo, who aspires to world domination.

Shinobi: Art of Vengeance is a 2D platformer, like the rest of the series, but it introduces some changes to try and modernize it. It’s much less linear and features expansive levels, where you drag the map to determine your next destination. You’ll find some areas difficult to reach due to locked doors, and you’ll have to search for levers or buttons to access them and continue playing. There are also areas you can only access after acquiring certain powers, which we’ll discuss later. Afterward, you can return to the previous level to uncover some of its secrets.
You’ll mostly use a katana to kill enemies, but you can also throw kunai. The number of kunai is limited, but you can find more as you progress through the levels.
